A mineral that acts as a cofactor for many functions in the body such as helping with energy production in muscle cells and protein synthesis. Bactrim interferes with magnesium metabolism. Diarrhea increases losses. High calcium and vitamin D decrease absorption of magnesium.

Deficiency symptoms are muscle weakness, depression and vertigo/dizziness..
